Take a beach walk and head to the North end to Bowditch Park where you can walk the trail and look for the tortoise hiding along the paths
Drive down to Lovers Key and see the natural beauty of the beach. Beautiful beach walk!

Rent a boat - Lots of options here with fishing charters, or dolphin watching, or sunset cruises,
or rent a boat yourself and explore the intercostal. And the kids may like the pirate cruise!
Take a stroll thru Matanzas Pass Preserve
or visit the Mound House and learn about the ancient Calusa Indians.
There's an incredible library on the beach and a movie theater too.
Head to Sanibel and Captiva for shelling or visit J Ding Darling Bird Sanctuary, or stop at the Sanibel Lighthouse. Beautiful Beaches, lots of shells!
And lots of good dining options! Mucky Duck is a fav!
Take a drive to the Manatee Park on northside of downtown Fort Myers where Manatee like to visit during colder months. They are not captive so best to go during colder months to see them.
Lots of fun events to look for too! See fireworks at the 4th and New Years Eve; Shrimp Fest in March; Taste of the Beach in May; Songwriters in Fall; First Fridays in downtown Fort Myers with live music in the streets; Many good restaurants in Fort Myers too! Art in the Park in February is another fun time downtown Fort Myers. There's the Off Shore Boat Races in October and American Sand Sculptures in November. And so many more fun events!

Go golfing - many courses nearby! Or play miniature golf - our fav is Smugglers Cove where they have baby alligators AND its a nice course! Or Castle Golf is enjoyable too.
Zoomers is an arcade/go cart park with rides.
There's nearby parks like Lakes Park with splash pools for the little ones.
And don't forget about the Beach's Bay Oaks Recreation Center with large pool and water slide, splash park, tennis courts, gym with classes and much more for a small daily fee.
If you like to shop, there's several beach shops on the Beach or drive down to Santini Plaza with several swimsuit shops and more. There's an outlet mall nearby too.
